OVERVIEW:
Do you need a website that you can maintain yourself? You don't kneed to know html markup language anymore and you don't have to pay an html website designer to update your site every time you need to add, edit, or delete inventory. The changes take effect on your live site within seconds of any change you make. Websites designed by Don Finkeldei use an application server (cold fusion) with a database and an administration area where you can add/delete/modify your web inventory, set up categories, create new pages and generally maintain all aspects of your website yourself. An optional https secure shopping cart is available if you need to sell items online. A list management subscription function is available that will email new works automatically to anyone that wishes to keep informed about your new work. There is an easy way for website visitors to inquire about any individual item. You can also create menu items for all the galleries you are in and upload the items in the gallery. When website visitors inquire about an item in one of your galleries, the gallery is sent an email and the gallery can respond to the inquiry (see my category "Santa Fe Fine Art" for all art my gallery represents).

LOGIN

Every user that you assign maintenance rights to must log in with their user name and password.

ADMIN CENTRAL

This is the main page after logging in. The buttons on the right are for editing the home page text, creating automatic xml sitemaps and rss feeds for search engines, and a button to go to the frontend website. The buttons on the left (are on most pages in website administration also) are to manage various sections of your wesite.
Admin Central: Always brings you back to this page.
Advertisements: Area where you can change the image for the home page.
Galleries: Area where you can add/delete/modify inventory and set edit/delete/modify galleries.
Categories: Area where you maintain categories for your website, such as Oil, Acrylic, Sculpture, etc.
Media: Area where you maintain media types for the website. A media type examples are “Oil on linen”, “Oil on Canvas”, “Watercolor on Paper”, etc.
Subjects: Area where you maintain subject types for your website. Examples are “Landscape”, “Still Life”, etc.
Exhibits: Area where you maintain shows and special events for the website.
Workshops: Area where you maintain Workshops for the website.
Site Settings: Area where you maintain global settings for your website such as main email address, number of columns for thumb pages, number of items on thumb pages, sort order, etc.
Other Menus: Area for maintaining other menus to display on website. An example is your biography. You can add other items to the menu, such as links or pages. Orders: Area for maintaining orders submitted from your website.
List Manager: Where you can send all new items added to your website to people who want to be notified of new work.
Orders: (optional, if you need a shopping cart: Where you can view and fulfill orders placed on your website.
Admin Accounts: Area to set up user login information for administering the website. Log Out: Logs you out of website administration.
